Contains the novel Born of the Sun by Joan Wolf in 508 pages.
"This compelling saga about a beautiful Celtic princess who gives her heart to a Saxon prince explodes with the passions of love and war. When the Saxon army, in its bloody charge against the Celts, captures the child-princess Niniane, they bring her to Cynric, King of the West Saxons. Enchanted by her innocence and beauty, he makes Niniane a favored prisoner. But she soon discovers that the King's court abounds with tempestuous intrigues and tormented rivalries. And when the adulterous and envious Queen arranges for a duel between the King's beloved illegitimate son and her own son, heir to the throne, intrigue turns to deadly perild. With this epic novel of the star-crossed passion that swept the Celts and Saxons to the brink of war - and two lovers to the edge of oblibion - Joan Wolf brilliantly brings alive a little-known but fascinating age."

Contains the books The Farmer Giles of Ham and The Adventures of Tom Bombadil by J.R.R. Tolkien in 144 pages.
"The Farmer Giles of Ham:
Fabulous tale of the days when giants and dragons walked the kingdom. Full of scholar's wit.
The Adventures of Tom Bombadil:
By turns gay, prattling, melancholy, nonsensical, mysterious. And what is most exciting and attractive about them is their superb technical skill. Professor Tolkien revealed in the verses scattered through The Hobbit that he had a talent for songs, riddling rhymes, and a kind of balladry. In The Adventures of Tom Bombadil the talent can be seen to be something close to genius."

"The Lord of the Rings 3: The Return of the King"

Published in 1979, reprinting of third edition.
First published by George Allen & Unwin in 1955.
Contains the third book of The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien in 556 pages. Cover different from picture.
"The Return of the King is the final part of J.R.R. Tolkien's great work of imaginative fiction The Lord of the Rings. It is impossible to convey to the new reader all of the book's qualities, and the range of its creation. By turns comic, homely, epic, monstrous and diabolic, the narrative moves through countless changes ofd scenes and character in an imaginary world which is totally convincing in its detail. In the words of the novelist Richard Hughes 'For width of imagination it almost beggars parallel, and it is nearly as remarkable for its vividness and narrative skill which carries the reader on enthralled for page after page'. Tolkien created in The Lord of the Rings a new mythology in an invented world which has proved timeless in its appeal.
This is the third part of a three book edition in paperback which reproduces the complete authoritative text. The Return of the King also includes the Appendices and Index in full."

This is the start of a library project stemming from my large ammount of books, rare and common, mostly in english. Living in Brazil, in a small town, we hardly have any books in english in our public libraries, plus a lack of subjects and authors. I'm set to change that.
